Welcome Home

April 16, 2022

Hi everyone!

I’d like to start off by saying: welcome home! I know this might seem a little peculiar to say, since you’re not standing in an actual location, or building with me. You’re reading words on a screen, I know, but the feeling of home is what I hope to create throughout this organization. I want to share a little bit of my heart behind starting this ministry and over time, I will elaborate more on certain things.

In order to properly explain how this moment came to be, I think it is best to rewind to different times in my life that ultimately led me to this point. Let’s start at the beginning; being diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a baby, automatically caused different challenges for me and gave me different labels that the world places on you from a young age. Thankfully I was born into the absolute best family, who has always been very supportive and the biggest help! So growing up I never really thought I was any different from anyone else, until I got older.

That’s when my differences and challenges  became elevated by the world around me. Where the labels and boxes that people would create for me, began to develop. Fast forward to my teenage years…this is when the seed was planted on the inside of me to start this ministry. I didn’t really know exactly what it would look like, what it would be called, or how things would even get started, but I knew that God was calling me to do this. I knew that God wanted me to reach people dealing with various types of conditions, diagnosis and challenges. For us to come together to encourage, empower, build up one another and more.

Moving forward to more recent years; I began to write out the things God was speaking to my heart. Turning this vision into reality one step at a time. Now, here we are…at the launch of Resilient Hope and my prayer is that this would not only a space to build community amongst those facing physical and mental challenges, but that it would bring awareness to others, bridging the gap through gaining knowledge and understanding. Ultimately my desire is that through Resilient Hope Ministries, people will encounter the love of Jesus on which to build a solid foundation. Receiving the joy of His sweet spirit; that no matter what you walk through in life, you’re able to steadfastly hold onto the hope that He brings.

There’s so much more that I look forward to sharing as time goes on. I am excited to go on this journey together, as we connect and build a community of resilient believers. So once again: welcome home and know that you belong!
